Problem/Need

THE BIG IDEA was Emily Carr University of Art + Design's Capital Campaign to build the new Great Northern Way Campus. A website was required as part of an integrated marketing strategy that included crowd-funding, video and social media, on-site kiosk integration, and web advertising.

Strategy/Methodology

A unique stand-alone responsive website was created to promote the Capital Campaign.

Results/Impact

The website launched on time to coincide with the start of the Capital Campaign. The university fundraised $21 million through THE BIG IDEA Capital Campaign, and the website was in use until the Great Northern Way Campus opened in Fall 2017.

Solution / Contribution: 
I designed and built the multifaceted crowdfunding website featuring video, news, stories, and integrated social feeds, and trained the in-house team to use the platform to promote ongoing communications initiatives. My composite illustration of "here to there" was used in promotional materials and on a large banner at the opening gala.
