Problem/Need

Four Seasons Furnace Cleaning & Service was looking to update and refresh their logo and branding. The anthropomorphic furnace—named “Dusty”—was very precious to the company, and had represented Four Seasons for nearly 30 years!

Strategy/Methodology

The challenge was to update Dusty for the 21st Century, while still remaining true to his essential character and charm.

Solution / Contribution: 
A “new vintage” style was chosen in order to both give a timeless and modern appeal. A hand-painter typeface was paired with a slab-serif sub-title typeface to portray that sense of established trust and solid performance, with a “days of yore” whimsy.
