Problem/Need

Winnipeg start-up Havana Controls was looking for a design partner to help them develop the UX/UI for their Luxidor system. An automated humidor and inventory management system for tracking the moisture content of individual cigars in almost any humidor.

Strategy/Methodology

The initial engagement required the User Experience and User Interface design of an iPhone and web application for the system but extended into the brand strategy development and design of a variety of marketing materials to help this new company break into a tight-knit, old-boys-club-like industry.

Results/Impact

Through the combined efforts of the design and marketing team, we managed to create a credible and trustworthy brand for Havana Controls and Luxidor, while making significant connections within the cigar and tobacco retailers industry. The Luxidor journey is ongoing, but with sales steadily increasing through the online store, the future for Luxidor looks bright.
