Problem/Need
The client had a clear idea of what was needed to promote the fashion show based on a decade of experience. The challenge was how to draw a larger audience in to see the show, since the show was primarily held annually at a local university campus.
Strategy/Methodology
I chose to draw inspiration from the show's core concept, "Create Change. Reuse Everything." The challenge that I gave myself was to capture the vibrancy of the recycled fabrics, materials, and objects that the designers had put on the runway onto a 2D printed medium.
Results/Impact
The show's 10th year was a lively success due to the bold poster, postcard and "fabric-bombing" installations that were placed throughout the city. As I sat in the audience I saw all ages surrounding me as we took in the stitched-together fashion show.
