The Production and Design Specialist is responsible for tracking and managing incoming projects, configuring and maintaining digital asset management, organizing and assigning work to team members, coordinating with external vendors and key stakeholders, and tracks expenses to budget. In this role, you will collaborate with other members of the Brand Communications team to support the design and production of creative assets for internal and external campaigns, as well as broker, customer, and employee communications. The successful candidate will be a skilled multi-tasker who is detail-oriented, organized, and focused on timelines.
Assist with the design and production of print and digital assets for creative collateral spanning multiple channels and audiences
Manage intake of incoming project requests; prepare daily priority lists and weekly project status reports
Regularly track and update project statuses to ensure projects remain on schedule and are adequately resourced
Inform project teams of any updates and changes as they occur; communicate potential problems and recommend solutions
Track budget estimates, invoices, and manage payments
Create timelines, instructions, and breakdowns for future projects
Collaborate on work and coordinate projects with external vendors
Manage digital assets and maintain style guidelines for both print and web, ensuring version control and proper licensing
Support graphic design needs while respecting quality and brand consistency
3+ years of experience in traffic coordination and graphic design in an in-house creative department or creative agency
Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, graphic design or related experience
Ever curious about digital tools and opportunities to improve efficiency; a natural researcher and early adopter
Strong collaboration and communication skills; service-focused
Exceptionally detail-oriented, organized and focused on timelines
Advanced technical proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
Intermediate technical proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient with project management software (e.g. Wrike, Workfront, Asana); proven experience with developing schedules and timelines for projects
Strong knowledge of print layout and production techniques
Strong command of visual design capabilities, including composition, information hierarchy, and typography
Experience with production standards across multiple mediums, such as interactive media/video, print, and web
Experience with photography, illustration, email marketing and/or video production considered an asset
French proficiency considered an asset
