Hi, there has been an ongoing debate here at our offices about type size for websites and legibility. The debate is that small type of 12px surrounded by ample white space is not legible vs. very large type of 18px which is good for reading but leaves less real estate for the eye to flow through the page. Has anyone come upon statistics on scenarios like this? I am aware of what people click on for the average website. Meaning the average website is usually bad design or mediocre at best. I'm very curious on this topic and would like to know your thoughts.
