Membership in the GDC is open to Canadian citizens, residents of Canada or Canadian citizens working abroad.
Regardless of where you live, providing you meet one of the three criteria above, you are eligible to join the GDC.
The GDC community is made up of regional chapters and affiliates. There is vibrant activity at the local level. You can select the region in Canada that is closest to you where you will find events, what's new, and local support for professionals and businesses.
The Society currently has active Chapters in:
Alberta North, Alberta South, Artic, Atlantic, BC Mainland, BC Vancouver Island, Manitoba, Saskatchewan North and Saskatchewan South.
If you live outside of a Chapter area you can join the GDC as a Member at Large
- If you do not live in geographical proximity to an existing GDC Chapter. You can still join as a GDC member.
- Choose from Professional or Associate membership.

- Become a certified professional member of the GDC.
- All members subscribe to the objectives, general goals and code of ethics of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.
