The GDC Foundation helps the GDC attain its goals for developing the profession, improving the human environment, and supporting designers.

It accomplishes this in several ways: by funding special projects, allowing benevolent support such as scholarships and short-term financial grants, and increasing awareness of the GDC's role in promoting high standards of design.

About the GDC Foundation

GDC operations and administration are funded by membership fees. Unfortunately, the budget doesn't always allow the Society to expand its scope.

The GDC Foundation helps the GDC to build on its student scholarship program, and support professional development programs such as conferences, exhibits and awards. It also supports design research and special projects such as "Design Cares".

With your support, the GDC can fulfill a wider mandate, supporting the future of the profession, and making the world a better place.

The Foundation is currently raising initial capital through donations and bequests from GDC Fellows, members, chapters, printers, educators, and sponsors.
