

Holy Cow Communication Design Inc. is a Silver award winner in the 2008 Summit Creative Awards® for their creative work for the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation. Their entry “You’ll Sleep Better” transit shelter poster, part of the annual fundraising campaign created for the Foundation, was entered in the Public Service/Advocacy - Transit/Airport/Subway Signs category.
“Creatively, we’re thrilled,” says Ken Coward, one of the two Principals of Holy Cow and Creative Director of the campaign. “And what’s even more important, is that the campaign itself has been very successful in helping the Foundation with their fundraising efforts.”
The Summit Creative Awards recognizes and celebrates the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized advertising agencies and other creative groups with annual billings of $25 million or less. Entries in 13 creative categories were judged against a stringent set of standards. During the blind judging events (entering company names withheld) judges searched for innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and the ability to communicate and persuade. This year's panel of international judges included Art and/or Creative Directors from companies including
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the success of both the creative and the fundraising campaign,” says Karen Morgan, Executive Director of the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation. “The campaign launched last fall, and we’ve already raised over $1.5 million towards our goal.” The Foundation is raising funds to renovate the two existing operating rooms and to build a third operating room.
